Purpose of the Job

To manage and ensure the upkeep of the entire fleet, including the services and all work carried out on specific vehicles.

Key Responsibilities 

• Management of the overall condition of the vehicles in the fleet
• The capture and management of vehicle fuel consumptions as well as the planning of refueling
• Managing all aspects related to the servicing of the vehicles within the fleet
• Reporting on work-in-progress related to the workshops
• Daily fleet planning, ensuring that all vehicles are supplied as per the customer’s requirements
• Pre- and post-trip inspections with regards to logbooks
• Management of tyres and all related costs
• Regular inspections on the cleanliness of vehicles when drivers return from deliveries and also how the vehicles are loaded when returning back to site after deliveries
• Dispatch of vehicles

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Fully computer literate
• 2-3 years experience in a Transport environment
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to start by 6am
