Claims Coordinator

Job Location: Elandsfontein Gauteng
Purpose of the Job

Validating claims and notifying clients of GIT incidents. Ensuring that all valid claims are paid and that rejected claims are credited. Quality checking of problem and claim PODs and ensuring that they are released.

Roles & Responsibility

Processing Claims

  • All claims are processed
  • Compiling a recon that corresponds to the claims statement
  • Ensures that the payment deadline is met at all times
  • All claims are processed within 30 days of the statement
  • Ensuring that the recon and remittance advice is emailed to the client once payment has been released
  • All rejected claims are emailed to the clients on time for it to be credited from the new claim statement
  • Ensures that all the claims paid to the client are closed off

 Problem PODs/Cancelling of claims

  • Follow up with the branches for the long outstanding claims
  • Problem PODs are quality checked
  • Ensuring claims are logged

 Notification (Normal and GIT)

  • Warehouse customers are notified of claims accordingly as per procedure
  • Ensuring that the claims have been updated as notified or no claim
  • GIT notification is forwarded to the clients within 24 hours of the incident after all the information is provided by the branch and closed off
  • Ensuring that the stock involved in the GIT incident is returned to the supplier and replacement stock is requested

Customer Service 

  • Always attend to clients and branch queries in a very professional manner
  • Have a good relationship with his/her clients
  • Ensures that at all times, accurate feedback is supplied to clients and branches on time
  • He/She is always willing to assist our clients with general queries as well
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Admin/operations/finance-related education will be an advantage
  • Computer literate
  • At least 3 to 5 years of related experience
