Purpose of the Job

To manage night shift loaders and to ensure all deliveries have been loaded correctly. Ensure an efficient and effective operation by completing all necessary reports and submitting them accordingly.

Roles & Responsibility

Administration

• Compile daily reports, driver and crew short reports, reports of extras, debrief trip sheets, debrief trip POD and pallet control reports
• Ensure all discrepancies are recorded and captured correctly

Operational

• Ensure all staff arrive on time for their respective routes
• Ensure all loads are loaded in the correct vehicle
• Assist in operations interlinked between Warehousing and Distribution
• Check all vehicles are fit for duty
• Conduct any investigations
• Load redeliveries
• Ensuring nightshift aligns with dayshift requirements
• Action any and all special requests correctly
• Sign off on all loaded vehicles

Client relations

• Display diplomacy with the client
• Ensure deadlines are met concerning handing over the correct documentation
• Assist with driver queries

Internal correspondence

•  Operations for additional requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience

Skills Required

• Able to handle administrative procedures without supervision
• Able to supervise the correct implementation and utilisation of administrative procedures
